The Oxbow Communications Committee will meet at Oxbow, Thursday April 24th, at 4:45pm. Community members are welcome to attend and lend their voice to the conversation of how to created more effective, open lines of communication at Oxbow.

Dean of Students Current

Congratulations to Joseph Donarum! Mr. Donarum was selected by the Oxbow High School Board of Directors on Thursday evening to be the Dean of Students for the 2014-2015 school year. Joseph has over twenty years of secondary and college classroom experience, along with in-depth experience as a supervisor, administrator, consultant and mental health practitioner.

  • Looking for a way to spend your summer?  Check out the new Summer Opportunities page in our website's Guidance menu to find great opportunities for students throughout Vermont to learn and grow this summer!

  • Don't miss the next and last trip to Northern Stage.  We'll be going to see "Spitfire Grill" a musical that was based on a movie originally filmed in Peacham, Vermont.  It's an uplifting play about a small town in Wisconsin.  The trip is Wednesday, April 30th.  Just $5.00. See Ms. Harkay in A-6 for more details.

  • The Oxbow PTO needs your help to design a new Oxbow t-shirt!  Students, see Amy Mach in guidance to receive an 11x17 sheet of paper for your black ink design.  The word "Oxbow" must be incorporated into your design and you must return your submission by May 2nd to be in the running for a $100 cash prize!  Then, vote for the winning design in the cafeteria on May 9th or downtown at The Local Buzz on May 10th.

  • As of April 30th all lunch bills must be paid.  Starting May 1st students will not be allowed to charge for the remainder of the school yea

  • Attention Juniors & Seniors:  There is only one day left to buy Prom tickets, also if you have already purchased your ticket please see Mrs. Smith., please turn your raffle tickets and money in to Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Gardner, drawings begin the first of May.

  • This Sunday the 27th starting at 8:00am the Newbury Recreation Board is holding our annual common Clean up day.  We are looking for people who can rake, plant,weed, cook and put things together etc.  Volunteers are needed so if you would like to get some community service hours in, please arrive this Sunday at 8:00.  A BBQ lunch will be served at the end of the clean-up.

  • Drivers Ed sign-up is in the guidance office.  Please stop in and sign up my May 9th.

  • Are you between the ages of 9-14?  Are you interested in meeting other students from around the region and learning about leadership and technology in a fun and creative way?  Then the Young Hacks Academy is for you!  Talk to Nic Phillips in the library to find out more about this great summer opportunity.

Athletics

Golf Coach Needed for 2014 Season:

Varsity Softball Spring Training:

The softball team will be leaving for Philadelphia on Thursday, April 10th for spring training. They will tour the campus of Villanova, see a softball game, see the liberty bell, a Phillies game, the art museum, and have daily practices.
